We’re taking you to the heart of Bleau!
Information and pre-booking available
Make Le Lido your base camp:
Le Lido campsite will host you and take you on an unforgettable adventure (of joy, of course!) right into the heart of the Fontainebleau forest and its legendary boulders. Here’s what you need to know:
Transport:
Coming by car? Sure, but there’s a greener and cheaper way: a direct 45-minute train from Gare de Lyon and a 7–8-minute walk — and you’re at the campsite!
Accommodation:
-
Tent pitches (tent rental available, depending on availability)
-
Cosy-Mobils (super cool vintage mini-caravans for 2 people)
-
Mobile homes (for 2, 4, or 6 people)
Sheets are provided in both Cosy-Mobils
Forest outings:
A bus will be waiting for you at the campsite to take you to the best bouldering spots in Bleau. The spots will allow you to practice climbing or discover great hiking or running trails. You can get all the information you need at reception for your trail, hiking, mountain biking or cultural outings!
For climbers :
Instructor available for a minimum of 8 participants, with crash-pads available at the campsite.
On-site catering: you can eat at the snack bar (pizzas, paninis, hot and cold drinks, see website), which also sells basic groceries (pasta, tomato sauce, tuna, crisps, chocolate bars, etc). Foodtruck on the campsite at certain weekends – calendar online soon.
Bakery service (baguettes, croissants, pain au chocolat) available on pre-order the night before — perfect for breakfast or making sandwiches.
Alternatively, there’s a mini-market in Veneux (open till 10 PM), a supermarket in Moret (15-minute walk) and a Sunday morning market in Saint-Mammès
Bad Weather:
In case of bad weather, we’ll try to offer an alternative: a local discovery (like the Château de Fontainebleau, Thomery, etc.), an indoor climbing gym (such as Karma), or covered outdoor spots.
Base Camp Vibes:
The campsite is known for its peaceful evenings after a day out in the woods — so you can go all out again the next day. After 10 p.m., it’s chill mode: wind down around the brazier, maybe finish your card game in peace.
Nature & Respect:
No open fires allowed on-site (except for barbecues).
We uphold a strong commitment to preserving the beautiful Fontainebleau forest, its wildlife, and its boulders. Leave no trace — clean your shoes before climbing, brush holds after use, no campfires or smoking, and keep noise to a minimum.
Responsibility:
As a lodging provider, we do not cover climbing under our insurance. We encourage you to make the necessary arrangements on your end.
The climbing instructor is selected by our partner Climbing District — be sure to inform them of your level, any discomfort or injuries, and follow their guidance closely.
That’s the essentials!
We also recommend checking out our website for more useful info: available activities (heated pool, mini-golf, etc.), things to do nearby, our general terms and conditions, and the campsite rules.
